driven by a love of cooking for comfort
We have always loved seeing people come together around a nourishing meal. We have worked in corporate and family owned restaurants for 40 years in every possible role – from cooking, serving, to managing and everything in between. There is nothing more pleasing to a restaurant employee than seeing people light up over a delicious treat or relax after a satisfying plate. Back at home, mealtime was all about comfort and conversation with each other and our three children. Now that our children are grown, we realized it was time to fulfill our dream of building a business.
We started The Chaotic Kitchen with the intention of bringing home-cooked goodness to our broader community. While our journey began in Colorado, we have since moved to Salem, Virginia, and are so excited to plant roots here. We are eager to begin building community and running our business in such a vibrant area! Since we love seeing the beautiful local landscape, a food truck remains the perfect way for us to get out and meet our neighbors. We have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome so far and look forward to working side-by-side, sharing our favorite family recipes—with a few innovative twists—with you soon.
